Schon früher war die Tanzgruppe „FlipSquad“ sehr bekannt. Die meisten haben heute schon Kinder und Familie. Einer davon ist Jeff Jimenez. Nachdem sich FlipSquad aufgelöst hat, war er einer der wenigen, die das Tanzen immer noch als Priorität gesehen haben. Heute ist er ein Teil der erfolgreichen Crew „Team Recycled“ (TR). Die Gruppe hatte schon zahlreiche Auftritte im Fernsehen und auch viele Pokale und Meisterschaften gewonnen. Doch dies reichte nicht aus! (Already in the past the dance group “Flipsquad” was well established. Most of them already have children and family now. One of them is Jeff Jimenez. After FlipSquad disbanded, he was one of the few who still saw dancing as a priority. Today he is part of the successful crew “Team Recycled” (TR). The group had already won numerous appearances on television and also many cups and championships. But this was not enough!)
Der nächste Schritt war es, eine eigene Tanzschule aufzubauen, wo das Wissen und der Spaß am Tanzen weitervermittelt werden konnten. Im Mai 2018 war es dann soweit. Die TR Studios in Wilmersdorf haben ihre Türen geöffnet und heißen jeden willkommen! (The next step was to build our own dance school, where the knowledge and fun of dancing could be passed on. In May 2018 the time had come. The TR Studios in Wilmersdorf have opened their doors and welcome everyone!)
Als Jeff gesehen hat, wie viel Freude die junge Generation am Tanzen hat, kam die Idee auf, neue Crews zu bilden, wie früher. Diese Idee wurde schnell zur Realität. (When Jeff saw how much joy the young generation has in dancing, the idea came up to form new crews like before. This idea quickly became reality. )
Die kleinen Kinder im Alter von 8 bis 14 Jahren sind nun „FlipSquad Kids“ und die Teens gehören zu „Phillnaticz“. Beide Namen wurden von den alten Crews der philippinischen Gemeinde übernommen. (The small children aged 8 to 14 are now “FlipSquad Kids” and the teens belong to “Phillnaticz”. Both names were adopted by the old crews of the Philippine community. )
Drei Wochen nach der Gründung stand auch schon die erste Meisterschaft an. Es war ein großer Erfolg für das erste Mal. FlipSquad Kids wurde nicht nur hochgestuft, sondern gewann dann auch noch den 1.Platz! Phillnaticz war genauso erfolgreich und gewann den 3. Platz von insgesamt 16 Gruppen in ihrer Kategorie. (Three weeks after its foundation, the first championship was already on the agenda. It was a great success for the first time. FlipSquad Kids was not only upgraded, but also won the 1st place! Phillnaticz was just as successful and won the 3rd place out of 16 groups in their category. )
Nach einer Sommerpause ging es dann weiter im November zum Müritz Dance Cup! In einem Bus fuhren die Tänzer mit ihrer Familie und zahlreichen Mitgliedern der Gemeinde zur Meisterschaft. Beide Gruppen gewannen hier den 1. Platz und gehörten zu den 5 von über 40 Tanzgruppen, die im Finale noch einmal alles zeigen konnten! (After a summer break we went on to the Müritz Dance Cup in November! In a bus the dancers drove with their family and numerous members of the community to the championship. Both groups won the 1st place here and belonged to the 5 of over 40 dance groups that could show everything in the final! )
Es gibt noch viel zu sehen, worauf wir uns alle freuen können! (There’s still a lot to see that we can all look forward to!)
Am Samstag, den 16.02.2019 fand die Ostdeutsche Meisterschaft der UDO (United Dance Organisation) in Magdeburg statt. Crews und Companies traten hier in unterschiedlichen Kategorien gegeneinander an. (On Saturday, 16.02.2019 the East German Championship of the UDO (United Dance Organisation) took place in Magdeburg. Crews and Companies competed against each other in different categories. )
FlipSquad hatte nur einen Gegner und bekam den 1. Platz für ihre Performance. Die großen von Phillnaticz hatten es hier etwas schwerer und mussten sich gegen 8 weitere Teams schlagen. Die harte Arbeit hat sich ausgezahlt, denn sie gewannen den 2. Platz! (FlipSquad had only one opponent and got the 1st place for her performance. The big ones from Phillnaticz had it a bit harder here and had to fight against 8 other teams. The hard work paid off, because they won the 2nd place!)
Doch eine Pause gibt es nicht, im April geht es zur Deutschen Meisterschaft der UDO in Baden-Württemberg, in der beide gegen Tanzgruppen aus ganz Deutschland antreten werden. (But there is no break, in April 2019 they will go to the German Championship of the UDO in Baden-Württemberg, in which both will compete against dance groups from all over Germany.)
